Casey Fernandez, CSFA - Instructor

Casey began his surgical life at the prestigious Methodist Hospital in the Med Center. After graduating from Houston Community College, Casey learned that surgery was in his blood when he discovered that his grandmother and aunt had successful careers as Surgical Technologists.

He quickly found out he had the passion and knack for working in the OR. He is experienced in a variety of surgical procedures from general, orthopedics, plastics to neurosurgery, including spine fusions and craniotomies.

While at Methodist, Casey became a trainer in surgical technology best practices, and instructed many OR Nurses and Scrub Techs.

He is looking forward to being with Key for a long time and moving toward his ultimate goal of becoming a Licensed Surgical Assistant.
